Ben, your welcome, Just checked out your recent posts, and your weathering looks spot on.

Now you just need some tankers taking your M26 to the wash rack...

Also, as far as I know, Tamiya dosn't make a Comet.

Thanks for mentioning my Pershing buddy! That means a lot!

Funny you should mention pastels. Yesterday after reading this thread and seeing your tank I tried brushing some different coloured pigments straight from the tubs onto the base of my Pershing-it works a treat!

When I complete it I assume I shouldn't apply any rattlecan matt varnish as no doubt this will kill any pigment effect?

Do Tamiya do a kit of this piece-I can't see it in their on-line catalogue? I really like Tamiya stuff-it's very 'newbie' friendly but I love the look of this kit, I might have to go mail order!

My LHS don't stock Bronco?

I love this Comet-it is just beautiful. If I can ever build half as well as you can I'll be happy enough!

On D-Day my Grandad drove a Sherman Firefly on D-Day and my Great Uncle drove a Comet in the 11th Armoured during the Rhine crossing. I've already built a Firefly to honour my Grandad and I'll be building a Comet soon in memory of my Great Uncle, they both saw some FIERCE fighting until both getting 'Blighty' wounds..

I really like the subtle dusting. What materials did you use and how did you apply them?  Did you use Mig pigments wet or dry?

It could be just the pictures but the only suggestion I would have is to add a cadmium red and burnt seinna oil wash to the flesh areas of your figure it would add a tinge of color and shadowing but that's just a suggestion Tom.
