YOU HAVE FAILED ALL OF YOU
Posted by beav on Wednesday, December 24, 2003 7:09 PM
It's Christmas, and where is my hobby shop next door to my house with free models! But I did happen to recieve two very fine looking kits-the Tamiya King Tiger-Ardennes Front-henschel turret, and Dragons T-34/76 Model 1940. I would like to know the low-down on these if it would not be to hard, but, it would be nice, since you failed your last project. They look very fine molded, and i am thinking about using a different barrel for the king tiger, and fruil tracks for it also.
THANKS
Happy holidays!

Sorry Beav, I'm not sure where we failed you last time. I assume someone said a particular kit was great and it was not? Anyway, from the grapevine, the Kingtiger seems to be a typically nice put together kit from Tamiya in typical Tamiya manner.
The new Dragon kit just came out, and again I'm hearing very good things said about it as well. I believe it comes with some pe parts and indy track links. It's always nice to add some am parts and I hear fruil tracks are very nice, but to me quite expensive.

beav,
There's no hobby shop with free models next to your house?
Then who's house did I put that thing next to?
Trevor Where am I going and why am I in this handbasket?

You guys are funny. LOL.

beav: I did a Tamiya King Tiger some months back and it is a very good kit. I might suggest however that use AM tracks. The tracks provided are a bit too tight. The Dragon T-34 is another cool kit. Never tried one but if it is in the same league as their new Panthers then it must be good.

Good luck.

Ok, I admit it, I was a little harsh, but I did make a promise for you to me-to put a brand new hobby shop with free models next door to our farm. But, from what I hear, the kits seem, and look very nice. This morning, I went to my mothers house, and recieved Dragons 352nd Volksgrenaidiers, a pair of 2cm Flakvierling 38's(a little duplication), and tamiya's 251/1 half track, I also gave away my best model-my Tamiya m3a2, which, went to my father-oh yeah, about that kit for the grapevine, it has loose tracks!(which is strange since all my other tamiya stuff is tight.)
Thanks!
