Dragons T34/76-1940
Posted by beav on Friday, December 26, 2003 8:10 PM
Heyyyy OOOOHHHH, I opened the box and
VIOLA!
A brand new kit,
but whats more is, the instructions are in full coler photographs of the real thing!(kit)
Also, brand new parts-only one sprue has unused handles on it!, IT iS ALL NEW!
But sadly, it only has numbers for marking-2 sets of 0123456789.
no division marks, but it does have a weird camo scheme with odd colors for the first Moscow Motor Rifle Division, 1941.
All in all it looks like a nice simple kit, with lots of good looking pieces.
should be fun!Big Smile [:D]

If you can find it, pick up a copy of Kagero's new book "Eastern Front Camouflage, pt. 1". It has a sheet (8x10) of dry transfers inside the book and has several diagrams and pictures of soviet tanks. I want to do the green and white waffle pattern that was seen on T-34/76's early in the war.

The kit is sharp. Just picked it up myself. I haven't put the callipers to it, but what's in the box looks good.

I wouldn't sweat about the markings. Most of the pictures I have don't show too many markings anyway.

I am just wondering if this kit has any turret interior. The T-34/76 has such a large turret hatch. It would be a disappointment if it hasn't any interior while you want to place the hatch open.

I have the Dragon Panther A kit, the instructions also are in color a nice touch. But I'd wish they would have added crew members.

I have Dragon's Panther A and like the color instructions alot. I'm hoping that they produce a T-34/76 1943 version. Fingers crossed.

There's no interior to the turret other than two seats and a gun breech.

Thumbing through the reference material, I don't see anything that the real thing had that the kit doesn't cover (on the outside). The tie straps are chunky and would best be replaced. But I've not found anything else yet.

The sprues mention a Model 41. If it could only get that good!

Hey, latch, what are you gonna do about those straps for the tiedowns over the extra links?

Well, hey, since there are a few of these new T34/76's out there, a whole bunch of the T-34/85's, and a whole bunch of kits out there, how about a group build?
