...with a low(er) parts count than some of the Dragon kits. I appreciate the fact that many modelers enjoy the detail that 1200+ parts (or 600-700 parts) offer, but I get bogged down in too much detail and never manage to finish the kit: it's too much like work.
So I'm looking for recommendations for a Panzer IV kit which isn't quite so detailed. I know, I know, it's dull as dishwater, but what am I to do?
Thanks to all who reply.
With best regards,
Stephen.

The Tamiya Pz IV J is a great little kit. About 300 or so parts and no indie tracks. The one thing it lacks is side-schurzen. It still has nice details, but is a joy to put together.
I'm like you, I'm not a fan of overly engineered kits. I like detail, but not over complicated builds.

I agree with MG and Eric. The tamiya kit #35209 is fairly cheap, I think I got mine last week for $22. It builds into a decent model and plenty of rom to add details if you wish. OOB its a great kit.

The Italeri Pz.Kpfw. IV Ausf. F2/G is not bad. I build one of those a couple years ago for the Italeri GB and really enjoyed the kit.
M1Carbine I agree with MG and Eric. The tamiya kit #35209 is fairly cheap, I think I got mine last week for $22. It builds into a decent model and plenty of room to add details if you wish. OOB its a great kit. Bob

$22?!?!?! Wow. that's a pretty good deal Bob!!
Gotta agree with everyone, the Tamiya Pz IV kits are the way to go if you're looking for ease of building.
