The version of 5 ton truck I think was the M925 and the humvees were the normal hatch back version

I'm not sure what the exact model/version was. It's possible that there were a couple different versions out there. Most of the stories you read, they don't include the model number.

According to Mark Bowden's book "Black Hawk Down", the vehicles are referred to as wide bodied Humvees and 5 ton trucks. Hope this helps.

Does anyone know exactly what version of the Humvee and flatbed truck was used in the Somalia incident in 1993???
