I was a victim of Tamiya Flat Base but I was able to reverse it. I just re-mixed a new batch with less Flat Base and re-sprayed the model. To my surprise, the white coating dissappeared.

Just by chance are you another victim of Tamiya Flat Base? If so the operation is not reversible, you have to chip all of the paint off the model! Another thing: never trust flat clear, every time try it on a painted scap piece of plastic to avoid surprises.

I am not sure if the cold had anything to do with it, but you should always paint at room temp. What also helps is to put the paint can in warm or hot water before using. =)

gloss coats and flat coats

i was in my garage and a few days back i put a gloss coat on my sherman tank just where the decals go then when the decals dried i waited another day and put the flat coat on to seal the decals so they dont get yellow and shiny but the flat coat (both flat and gloss are clear) turned white and looked horrible i was able to fix the problem but i was wondering if any of you had the same experience and if so why does it do that? (my garage was pretty cold did that have anything to do with it?
thanks for your input
