Italeri kit 826 Kangaroo
Posted by Anonymous on Friday, January 9, 2004 1:20 PM
OK the "Dark Side" got me. A friend gave me this kit some time ago and the box got destoyed, but the kit and instructions are intact. My questions are numberous, but I'll start with the most important , What color should it be? It has Canadian markings and the instructions say "Khaki Brown" ?? Any Help is greatly appreciated. Thanx in advance.Smile [:)]

Any shade of OD green should suffice. Kangaroos were make from war weary M7 Priests with the gun and ammo racks removed and some seats and armor plating added. Heck the added armor plating could probably be a different shade of OD since they may not have repainted the vehicle once they converted them.

THANX Major Rob, you answered one other question. So, the Kangaroo is part of the Sherman family.

Yes, the Kangaroo is a Sherman based vehicle, as was the Priest. These were based on either the M4 or M4A3. The Italieri kit is based on the radial engined M4.
