Well, that's good news. Now, how about a LeClerc or an improved T-62, Tamiya-san?

Everything that has been suggested would be good for the Big T to bring out next.

Here's my wish list for Tamiya (in no particular order):

1. An updated 88. Prefer the Pak 43 on the cruciform base w/bogies.
2. A truly retooled Sherman (Especially the running gear, lets get a true mid-VVSS and an E8)!! Please, please do it right this time Tamiya!
3. A truly retooled Lee/Grant
4. An early Panzer IV (like a retooled D)
5. Panzer IV E, F1, F2, and G (this could easily be one kit with optional parts)
6. A truly retooled M5/M8
7. A Russian 203mm (you know the one with the tracked carriage. And while your at it throw in the prime mover too!)
8. Any of the French WWII tanks (take your pick, the field is wide open)
9. An Italian Sahariana
10. An Italian AB40
11. A Bussig Nag (with the crane too!)

This is kind of my "short" list.

Oh well, there's always hope. And if not hope, there's resin!

latch,
If you are thinking of the 2s7 (number 7 on your list), Panzershop is supposed to release one this year in resin. However, beware of the price tag! Shock [:O]

Mark - not in plastic .... I have one in resin from S-Models that I haven't built yet.
I think a little fear may be involved. It don't look pretty !!!

Oh, and Resicast used to make one too ... not sure if they do anymore or not.

Robert,

I still see the Resicast Sexton on a website I know.

Do you want me to make a few phone calls and see if it is still available?

Or, I could just send you the link. Whichever you prefer.

Speaking of the Sexton, I wish they would make a Priest. I think that old Testors kits is the only one out there isnt it? And its long gone.

monsterarmor, I just checked www.greatmodels.com They have the Italeri M-7 priest listed for $24.00 USD. You could find it cheaper on E-bay maybe. I have seen them go for as little as $15.00 USD.

oh yeah, I do think that the Italeri is just the reissue of the old Testors kit though. I wish Tamiya or Dragon would put one out.

My list would consist of
1.Italian Ariete MBT
2. I think South Africa has their own MBT
3. M551 Sheridan
4. German Jadgpanzer Kanone
5. Older Swiss and Austrian Tanks like the swiss type 61 and the austrian Kuerassier

Sign - Ditto [#ditto] to the Capt'n and Sherm, or maybe an Archer or Valantine (They could use the same chassis mould, he, he). Lets see something different for a change, instead of the rehashed stuff.

I'd actually like to see a Tamiya Opel Blitz or Maultier, or the big ol' Mercedes (5-ton?) S (Schwere) truck.

I've been waiting Tamiya to make a new-tooled Centurion(Israeli sho't prefer), a new Saladin and a new Cadillac Gage Commando for 20 years!!! These are very popular vehicles. Why doesn't Tamiya build them? Why?Disapprove [V] Are they that hard to make. In fact Tamiya sometime produces new-tooled models which they produced long ago, such as T-55, M-8 Greyhound and Stuf III, Tamiya built them before in early 70's. Why can't Tamiya do this to other old popular kits?

So I guess this is in response to the arms race between the French and Germans? The French have been claiming, apparently correctly, that the longer barrel on the LeClerc gives it decisive pentration superiority over the guns of other Western tanks. Of course they've built, what, ten Leclercs? Wink [;)]

Anyway, I'm sure it's going to be a great kit. Got my sights on the new M1A2, which I may build up as an M1A1HA (kits allows this). Apparently, Tamiya fixed the turret.
