M1A1
Posted by Anonymous on Saturday, January 10, 2004 10:44 AM
Hi, folks!
I'm trying a little foray away from my usual 1/72 scale. Tamiya's M1A1 1/35 kit. I got a lot of finishing ideas from John Plzak's story in FSM's July issue. The kit doesn't come with "covers" for the smoke dischargers, and a co-worker who was a gunner on an M1A1 in Kuwait assures me that they did indeed use them. Any ideas?
Thanks, Dan....

When the grenade launchers are empty, the canvas covers are in place. You can replicate this with tissue paper cut to shape and painted.

Thanks, Robin. I'll give it a try!
