i was wondering if anybody knew where to find a kit of the infared optics found on late german tanks, or if there are more than one kit which is best. I want to put it on a panther G. thanks

There have been two kits in plastic.

The Tamiya Panther G "Steel Wheel" version has the IR set included.

DML came out with an IR equiped Panther G

DML also had a set of figures which had the infantry weapon with the IR equipment.

There have been a couple of resin coversions for the Uhu.

Are you just looking for the optics and not the whole kit?

nathan;

The Panther G that was just re-released by Dragon and Shanghai Dragon has 3 sets of the IR gear. One for the commanders cupola, one for the driver, and one for the gunner. The three sets are identical and you leave off whatever parts are not needed for their respective positions. They are cast in clear plastic, and the castings all look very nice. The Dragon kit is much less expensive than the Tamiya Steel Wheel version.

Good luck
