... have you guys seen the revamped SdKfz 222? Same kit, new goodies inside:

It now gets photoetch, a nice metal barrel, and new decals.

I've always liked those vehicles.... I built one in 1/72 scale and holy moly was it small...might be time to finally buy a 1/35 one...

I have one of the old one's. Started it, but stopped mid-way. This new version may rekindle my interest in finishing it! I like the upgrades! Wouldn't mind seeing Tamiya do this to few other 'older' kits either!

It's a good kit.

I'm glad to see Tamiya added more to the 222 than what they did to the 223.

I was disappointed in what "extra" there was in the 223.

It was one of the first Tamiya kits I built so many an eon ago. I thought it was pretty cool. I still wish they would build something new.

I was looking for one of those today for a Aufklarungspanzer 38(t) I'm wanting to build. Glad to see it's been reissued with photoetch parts, that should save me alot of time (and money!).

If the PE is like the 223 kit, then it is only the screens on the turret.

Hey caveman, thanks for the review. I built this kit when I was a kid, and it was a fun build-up and looks cool too. I'll bet it's even better now with some help from Tamiya-san, and some aftermarket photetch to add a little zing.
