well its the day of the attack of the shermans. on you mark get set go, most of you will have a least a 8 hour head start on me for i have to be in court most of the day. and to make matters worse this day is for my sis divorce case today and its a real nasty one to boot but we think all is going to work out for her. and to top it off what a way to spend your b-day i am 41 years young. so lets get the sherman build under way and good luck to all who do the build and take plenty of pics. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

You're 41... young? Hmmmm. I'm 46 years OLD! Well, the good thing is, when I turn 47 in March I'll have to do 25 push-ups and 30 sit ups to min my PT test! I think I have twelve hours or something for the run....Wink [;)] Funny thing is, I can still outrun some of those under 25 guys[:0]Cool [8D].

Happy birthday Ga.modeler. There just seems to be something ironic about a modeler from Georgia building a SHERMAN tank. Just my observations.

Holy moly, pasta fazioli! Tongue [:P] I thought it started January 1, ended March 1! This is GREAT NEWS for me, as I am not nearly done with my Panther yet, but will be doing an early M4 for Tunisia for the build-up!

HBD and I hope all goes as smoothly as possible under the circumstances for the divorce proceeding.

Hmmm, is there a Reader's Digest version of the rules to this group build? I saw the sticky topic, but didn't want to sift through 5+ pages of discussion.

BTW, happy belated birthday to you. I'm right behind you and turn the big 4-0 next month. And I can still smoke almost all of my soldiers in any PT event (one new SSG can beat me on the run by about 20 seconds, he's the only one) in both raw score and points.

My suggestion: build a Sherman. Smile [:)]

I can't wait to see all the Shermans. No tortured discussion of zimmerit or what color to paint it (ok, maybe just a few).

It might be fun to see a Sherman in current service, like one of those Salvadoran Shermans, or whoever it is that still uses them.
