1/72 Magach 6 finished! (my first posting, hopefully not the last)

Hey gang,

This is the first time I post a finished model in FSM, hope you all can cope with my noobness.

This is ESCI Blazer kit with some modest improvements.

  • I grooved the running wheels since they came as a "solid" wheel (typical of the times)
  • Added the thermal blanket to the cannon
  • Added a jerry tank ammo box to the coax M2
  • Created the pitle gun supports from scratch to resemble more the pics I saw from the era (I think these are called "Scissors support" in the IDF)
  • Added the mantlet canvas (kit came with nothing)
  • All the rolls and backpacks were created using 2 component modelling clay and masking tape for the harnesses
  • The ID blanket and ID canvas in the back is kitchen alluminium paper
  • Wire spools is cooper from a phone cable
  • .50 cases and ammo belts where made with lead from a mechanichal pencil
  • Paint is revell "aqua" acrylics and pastels

Hope you guys like it!

Thank you guys!, I really appreciate all the nice comments. Feel more than inspired now to start my next project. Playing with the idea of building another M60... A1 with a plow on the front (not the M9, want to use the plow that came with Dragon's Abrams).

If anybody has any info on M60s in MERDC schemes with RISE tiles (specially if it is a mixed thing with maybe green MERDC with sand tiles) please let me know!. Would like to build something other than plain sand.
