Hey all...

Does anyone know if there is a conversion set for the Tamiya Bradley kit to make it an M-6 Air Defense Variant? There's a really cool pic of one on cnn.com today, sadly the article is about 3 GIs and 2 Iraqi soldiers killed by another IED.

Here's the link: http://www.cnn.com/index.aol.html

Definitely an interesting vehicle you don't see much of!

I was stationed at Redstone Arsenal when they were being developed and got to visit the factory in 2002 to see where they made them. I do not believe there is a conversion for them yet. Heck, were still waiting for an M3A2 or the entire M2A3/M3A3 series.

Basically, the only external difference is a four-shot Stinger box replaces the TOW box on the turret. There are also a few boxes on the left front that hold sensors for the Stinger system. See the two photos below>

Internally, the M6 is set up similar to the M3A2 Cav Fighting Vehicle with one bench seat on the right side and missle stowage racks on the left side. The turret has the addition of a FLIR moniter simmilar to that in the Avenger mounted on the left side where the gunner sits. Sorry, no photos of interior or turret interior.
