88mm Gun on type ommr railcar

Could an 88mm gun be fired from a one Axel railcar ( one axel being that it only had 4 wheels in all). I have heard of there being railcars with the two axel's having two 88mm guns that were modified to fire. so does that mean that there could be one 88mm gun on a one axel railcar.
