T-55 track-type question!
Posted by somenewguy on Friday, January 14, 2011 12:45 AM

Hi guys.

I have found some Masterclub t-55 tracks on ebay - http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=160529999782&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT - and want to buy them as they are quite a bit cheaper than friul's and MK's but still seem very well detailed. But I'm not sure if they are the right type. They are stated as OMSh. Is this the same type as supplied in the Tamiya kit?

Also, how important is using the right type? Are each type specific to a certain army/country or something?

Cheers!

Unfortunately the link you posted does not show the tracks themselves. But most likely, they are the older style tracks used for many years on the T-54/55 and T-62 tanks and should be fine on theTamiya kit. Later modified/rebuilt T-55s use a track that has the same style as the T-72.
