I wonder what websites or databases with what military equipment is on display around the US or the world?

I remember seeing one a while back about Shermans on display in the US, but it was 5+ old.

Unfortunately a bunch of display vehicles were damaged at Fort Leonard Wood a few weeks ago when a tornado hit. Their WWII barracks made into a museum was also damaged.

The gun seem to be in very good condition. Do you have more pictures? I am very much interested in building one. I could certainly use moreof your pictures for reference. Thanks for sharing.

Yes, I took about 15 pics in a quick walk around but only uploaded the 3 posted to photobucket.  I could upload the rest eay enough but where should I post them so you can access them?

American 105 ?  Then you should have told the old fool to go and read all the German markings  on it and  that it was actually built by a German spy  working on the American production line!Clown

According to a friend of mine the K 18 was built in 100, 105 and 150mm so yours may be correct.  And yeah, those ejector pin marks in pic 2 are pretty bad, gonna take a LOT of CA to fill those in......

That's funny...... it looks a lot like a German 105 I have a kit of.  Looks like the model manufacture got their intel ALL wrong. Wink Even my references are wrong. Stick out tongue

Sometimes there just are not words.

You came all the way from WI to see the Unclaimed Baggage store?  Wow you Yankees are funny.  There was one of those stores in my hometown for a while.  The consolidated them all there is Scotsborro.  My dad used to go there regularly.  I bought my first set of golf clubs there.  Kinda funny to watch people sift through other peoples underwear and squeal with delight when they make a find!

Thought the Germanholics on here might like this one.  This 100mm K 18 reposes next to the city hall in Scottsborro Alabama.  My family and I made the trip down there last summer so that my wife could go to the Unclaimed Baggage Store which is just a big garbage sale of stuff people lost when their luggage didn't reach the same airport as they did.

I asked an older gentleman sitting on a bench near the gun if he knew where and when this fine German piece  had been captured.  He got quite upset and said it was an American 105 brought back from France and "didn't I know the d_mned Germans lost the war and nobody would want any of their sh_t anyway?!"  This despite the fact that by the safety lever were the words "sicher" and "feuer"and numerous "achtungs" on tags riveted in various locations.

Anyway, here is the "American 105":
