Schwere SS-Pz.Abt.101 King Tigers

The 101.s SS s pz Abt did not have Tiger II. In Sept 44 they were re numbered  the 501 and then equipped with the new tank. Though not impossable it is more likely that they would have only had the Henschel turreted Tiger II. I can't say i have seen any pictures with the Porsche turret.

Also, this was not a Division but a battalion sized unit operated from Corps level.

Just found one source which says the first company was with drawn from Normandy and eqipped with Tiger II then sent back to France. It doesn't give a date, but assuming this was July or August 44 then it is very possable that these had porsche turrets.
