The short answer is I don't know. Some of the MV packages have lists of uses in various scales on them and some don't. I tend to use L116 (2.9mm dia) for Sherman headlights, L128 (3.3mm dia) for modern US headlights and L132 (3.26mm dia) for IR headlights on US vehicles. Of course those are all 1/35 scale. L199 (5.08mm dia) is used for 7 inch headlights on 1/35 scale trucks etc. Some others in my stash are L180 (4.57mm dia), L218 (5.6mm dia). I hope this bit of rambling has been some sort of help.
