Nice clean finish on this one! I am curious about the blue color for the fire extinguisher on the rear engine deck, did you choose that on your own for some color contrast? I ask only because external mount FEs typically were hull color and it immediately caught my eye.

Actually the extinguisher is german grey. The light gave it a bluish cast. Also I based this model from infos I gathered about Michael Wittmann.

I like your # 007 very much constructor, I like the dark look you have achived with the cammo.
Personally I am in favour off the clean look.
I have # 6253 in the stash, had to pay silly money for a second box after I messed up the Zimmerit completely in my first attempt.
This looks great though, how did you find the Cavalier set to work with?

The antennas;
As already commented one of them probably should be removed and I must say that I have not seen any reference pictures of all three antennas beeing mounted.

According to Jentz & Doyle, Tiger I Heavy Tank 1942-45 the later command version of the Tiger could be either SdKfz 267 or 268.
The SdKfz 267 was equipped with;
FuG 8, 30 W operating in the medium frequenzy band 0,83 - 3 MHz.
FuG 5, 10 W operating in the ultra short frequenzy band 27.2 - 33,4 MHz
The SdKfz 268 was equipped with;
FuG 7, 20 W operating in the medium frequenzy band 42,1 - 37,8 MHz.
FuG 5, 10 W operating in the ultra short frequenzy band 27.2 - 33,4 MHz
 
Dragon's instructions clearly specify that both the star antenna, right rear deck  (FuG 8), the left rear deck aerial ( FuG 7?) and the turret roof aerial (FuG 5) should be used.
This is the same for both # 6406 and # 6253.

But there is maybe room for confusion.
The standard Tiger I had a FuG 5 operated by the radio operator in the right front of the hull.
The command version had a second radio, either a FuG 7 or FuG 8 assembled next to the standard device reducing the number of rounds with 26 and a FuG 5 in the turret operated by the loader where the coaxial MG  is deleted.
Now that is 3 radios and 3 antennas.

David Byrden has shown in an articel in TIIF that both the left hand rear and the right hand rear terminate in the front hull.

Sorry for getting so wordy but I felt sorry about your "Inconvienience" note and thought was maybee down to this discussion.

As you say, the standard Tiger had a FuG 5 in the hull front (one sender set, two receiver sets) but this was not present in the command Tigers. The FuG 5 was moved to the turret. The hull now had one receiver set and one sender set only.

The kit should be built with only one of the two supplied hull antennae, whatever the instructions may say. This has been corrected in the latest Cyber Hobby kit #6660.

The cavalier zim is easy to work with but like all other AMs I had to make some minor adjustments in the kit like I had to cut off some parts in the kit because the zim has already provided for it. The problem really is the decal set which is so thick no amount of decal solvent would soften it to settle on the zim. I have to look for a replacement and remove this set.
