I apply them stright onto the model without any glosscoat or anything else.  I have had no issues with them.

did you apply a gloss goat first to put the transfers on?  applied like a regular decal?

Yup, the Archer surface details are great.  I have used them a few times.  Here are some of the results.

After paint.

I highly recommend them.

thank you K-Dawg.  I was hoping someone had actually used them to comment.  sounds like i should sand some of the casting texture off, apply, texture again and prime.  cool!

cheers

Yes, they are raised numbers and symbols. I have a set within arms reach. Apply them like decals and bobs your uncle... Done! I have heard that you can knock off the small resin bits if you're not careful so i'd suggest priming over them as soon as possible.

I have used the tread plate before and I primed it and didn't have any trouble.

Good luck!

Casting numbers

hello all

i am getting close to finishing my Dragon T-34 and really want to add casting numbers to the turret for that last bit of detail.  I have been practicing with shaving sprue nubmers... but oh man... Sad  what a mess i've made on scrap plastic.  i get ONE good number out of about ten.  obviously not good enough.

archer has these:

are they actually raised numbers?  work for my application?

thanks!
