Churchill Mk I or Mk II ?????
Posted by John Lyle on Wednesday, January 26, 2011 3:14 PM

Does anyone know of any conversion kits for a Chruchill mark 1 or mark 2 in 1/35th scale? I believe they had cast turrets. I have an AFV Churchill and figured I would like to model on of the Dieppe tanks.

Resicast & Cromwell do as well

A very exhaustive listing of usefull books & available models on page 2 of this post: http://www.militarymodelling.com/forums/postings.asp?th=26354&p=1

Resicasts' is listed OOP, but an email to resicast will let you know if they will re-release it.

Resicast & Cromwell do as well

While the Resicast conversion is OOP, it was also designed for the Tamiya kit, not the AFV Club kit John has.

And Cromwell? Well, I'd recommend searching forums like Missing Lynx, Armorama, Track Link, etc. before directing anyone to that company. While they make some seriously nice items, you hear the horror stories about bad customer service and non-delivery of goods (besides, Cromwell's is a complete kit and not a conversion). Problems with Cromwell go back years. Here are some words from the ones who've been burned recently. Search these sites and you will find similar posts that are years old (2000 was one of the earlier ones I found).

Yeah! I have heard all about Cromwell. I think I'll try somebody more reputable. At least I have a few sources for the conversion now. Thanks again all.
