These are the rubber band tracks that came w/ Dragon kit #6428, they look ALMOST ok when the tank is sitting flat, but when I pick it up, there's almost 3/4" of slack. I'm prob wrong, but this seems like too much ?? As always, thanks for any help.
They look too long to me. I think Dragon Panthers have the idler wheel on a swing arm, can you move it back to tighten the track some? You may be able to get away with them as is by gluing them down to the tops of the roadwheels. May end up needing to get a replacement set of AM track.

Compare with actual Panther tracks

Note what it looks like when it's stationary.

@Roy, wow, there is a lot of slack. Thx for the video, very cool.
@ Spam, I was actually thinking of getting a set of Fruil's. Never done them, could be a learning experience,
Can't tell how much slack there is if the tracks were laying flat over the tops of the wheels.

Even if you do glue them down, it would appear you've got too much slack on the top run and might need to shorten the DS tracks by a link or two.

This I hear is the exact problem with the Tiger I Late kit #6403? Need to remove a link or 2.
It seems to be a common problem with kits equipped with the DS tracks. Have heard similar issues afflicting some of the Sherman kits as well. Personally I don't go for the DS one-piece tracks and prefer indys or workables myself but can understand where they would have their uses/appeal for others. DML is still fine-tuning the process I think for their creation, and it's better for the tracks to be too long and able to be shortened than have the reverse problem!
of the 3 builds that I used DS tracks, the only one that was too long was the Tiger. The Elefant,Panther were fine.
