What does the inside of the lower hull look like without the interior? The reason I am asking is that I was wondering if it would also fit the Trumpeter LAV III. I know they are two different vehicles and that I would have to scratch build a turrent basket but the interior kit looks GREATToast and I would like to build a LAV III with the back door open.  How much of a difference is there between a LAV III interior and a Stryker interior?

Your model is going to look great when your finished. I hope you post the finished product.

Your Stryker is coming along great.  The BD interior is a really nice set.  I too have one and the AFV Club Stryker for it to go into.  I just need to get to it in teh "To Do" pile.  Too many models, too little time.....

TheLAV III lower hull and the Stryker lower hull are basically the same on the inside.  The BD interior (or the D-Toys interior) should fit in it with no issues.

Thanks I'll give it a shot.

ECHO,

Excellent work!

The strategically placed hand set is blocking a nice view in the lower hull!

With the proper camera angles and lighting this interior looks real.Cool

Looking forward to the finish, markings for a Canadian unit in Afghanistan? I hope so...

The interior is coming out great.  I love the "motivational" poster on the bulkhead as well.  It is a little too dirty for me, unless you plan a scene where it is raining and muddy.  I would be chewing the ass of the sergeant who owns the vehicle to clean it up.

Only if the Sergeant allows it to get that dirty.  I have been in/on armored vehicles for the last 17 years.  A good Sergeant will keep his ride clean.

The finished product looks great.  I like how it came out.

Looks great....very nice detail...love the water bottles.

A little to "piggy" on the inside.....in 1 to 1 that squad would be in for a long day of cleaning with a very angry TC!!

Great pictures also....the lighting is perfect.

I have to agree that there's some very nice work going on there but, the interior is too dirty with way to much paint chipping going on. None of our (much older) tracks ever looked that bad and the Strykers are close to being brand spanky new.

Heads would roll for sure if that ride was one of mine.

Thanks,

Maybe it's the camera angle, but that fire extinguisher looks freakin' HUGE!

I was also 6 years a Staff Sergeant in the German Army, in a paratrooper unit in the Black Forest....and our vehicles have after 2 weeks in the field looked like a pig.
it was completely normally my men 1-2 days cleaning the vehicles if we back in barracks that was a mix of dirt, dust, weapon oil, Water etc. my reserve unit makes much with that B-Company 1th Battalion 10th Special Force Group Airborn (Böblingen) if I look photos from the employments in Afghanistan if is there autumn or winter, none believe how dirty the Humvee' s are!!
I think without Flash and in the daylight look's better!?
I think it is simply a matter of tasteWink
