Have faith Andy! Tigerman kept up a relentless request/comment of "how about a Valentine" every chance he got and his patience was rewarded. The magic will surely apply eventually to a Chaffee!
BP Models
I want Chaffee! I want Chaffee! I want Chaffee! I'd trade Manny's 229 girlfriends to get my hands on a newly tooled Chaffee. How can manufacturers be so dumb? Many of us have been waiting for this...
Andy
shoot&scoot I believe this one's different than the one Manny posted. This one has the engine in front like the Bergpanzer where the one Manny posted is built on the original Porshe tiger chasis. Regardless, I have a buddy who will pick up both of them! Pat.

You're correct and I apologize. Still doesn't do anything for me.
How about a newly tooled Chaffee?
Eric
It will be a crowd-pleaser with the Tiger fans I'm sure. Even though I'm a "germanaholic" when it comes to my building preferences, I've never really gotten into the paper panzer or prototype craze.
I do suppose though that it's a good sign of health in the hobby overall if they can get this far into the catalog of possibilities and make money off them as that should, in theory, allow for funding of some of the other projects that modelers sorely desire in the different camps at some point in the future. One would hope so at least!
redleg12 Just what the modeling world needs....another Tiger.....I think there is more styrene molds of Tigers than the Germans built in the entire war. There is a lot more to armor than Sherman, German and HMMWVs...... I know I build my own little world but give us all a break.... There are even more kits out (currently in production) of German amphibious vehicles than the US. Can someone please name at least two major battles where these played any role!!! It is just soooo depressing....IMO..... to watch what comes out and there are sooo many untouched subjects Can we please get something really new!!! Not a variant!!! Even if it was a replacement say like a new updated M42 Duster. Sorry for the rant......I return your armor hobby Rounds Complete!!

Still even if one was made I am still gonna make it because it looks freakin cool!
On the bench:
1/35th Tamiya Willi's MB
Apparently they made "ONE".
The Porsche Type-180 design [Designated VK 45.02(P)] was based on the earlier VK 45.02(P) design but mounting the 8.8cm L/71 gun on a much modified hull. Two versions were proposed, with turrets to the front (Vorne), or to the rear (Hinten), however only the former was proceeded with, and the construction of three prototypes was underway by February 1943.
It seems that one of the Porsche Type-180 vehicles may have been in operation since a Porsche Tiger with an 8.8cm L/71 gun is listed as part of the Panzer Kompanie Kummersdorf on March 1945. Virtually all operational Tiger II tanks, and prototypes were used at the end of the war.
This is something i will be getting as it's one of the "Paper Panzers" it never actually existed and i think even tho it has similarities to the Tiger (Porsche turret etc) i still want it as my only Tiger model got lost in my move. So i say yay to a big cat like tank =D
got mine (Porsche) yesterday.
(an I'm a gonna do it to it, Mike! - he he he)
Oh yeah Mike! I'm so with you on this one!
And you need to run the machine like 30 minutes to get plastic parts for more Tigers than the Germans really had. The real fun starts with prototypes, like the Land Wasser Schlepper - with single vehicles built. But almost everybody just got to have it, so they sell.
Now let us sit back and watch this one go hot!
Good luck building models everybody - and have a nice day
Paweł

Yes, there is another thread about this release, but it's nice to see it built up. Still gonna pass though.
