Is this the ammunition vehicle / hauler ?

edit

I googled, it is an observation vehicle...I was thinking of the 252...which I REALLY REALLY REALLY want.

Eric,

It's one of the reasons I made a concerted effort over the last couple of years to build a lot of the older kits in my stash. That way I'm not tempted when the newer kits come out to do stash-turnover! Wink

I think Italeri could do some good by taking Dragon's example and rereleasing their M107, M108, M109, and lets see...oh yeah, their M110.  They could throw in some cool extras like some of their rebox figgies from Zvezda etc.

Interesting...in some cases this has been a sign of possible one-last-time revenue generating efforts on the old sprues/molds before they release a new Smart Kit version. This one's probably not that likely to get a new kit treatment given its niche appeal but at least it is getting some upgrade attention! Wink

Interesting perspective Bill. I do like how they keep releasing updated Smart Kits of many of the earlier Imperial kits. I see that they've done this with the Pz III E & F and Jagdpanzer IV. I hope they release a Pz III G as well. I have the older kit, but would love the magic tracks for it and an aluminum barrel. Yes

Mansteins revenge

Nothing unique---just cool...that's what all Dragon Orange boxings are: older kits w/ something thrown as a bonus at a good price...I have always like this version of the sdkfz 250...

Wow, Tigerman---all you seem to be doing these days in threads is bustin' my chops.  You got something you want to get off of your chest? Wink

Embarrassed No, not at all. My bad if I came across critical. I don't think I've been too unfair to you, more jabbing and teasing I'd say.

I just didn't see anything unusual about his kit other then figgies and the tracks. The orange box releases are good bang-for-the-buck.

You should know by now it's taken a few of my $$$$ slipped under the table to the mods to get you reinstated.......again. Big Smile

What makes this unique? ...

no no no  - he said "cool", not unique.  If you want to harass him about the actual temperature of the kit, or it's inability to make teenagers say "cooooool", go for it, You can't beat him up for "not unique". BTW, Manny himself is quite unique! Wink

What makes this unique? It's pretty much the older kit with some magic tracks and some figgies. I guess for the dollar amount it's okay.
