I've built the Sturmtiger and it was a good build. Does need some AM screens though. It has molded zimmerit which isn't the greatest, so you could try to sand it down and use an AM. I got mine for a very reasonable $13, so it was built more for fun then anything else.

Check out Sprue Brothers Super Special armor sections.  I picked up a Dragon Jagdpanzer IV Smart Kit for right at $25.- + shipping earlier today.  They have a good selection of DML in that price range.

How quickly do you need the kits?  I say this because if you keep your eyes open at different vendors' sales lists, you'll find more updated kits by AFV Club and DML for not too much more than $20 (less shipping of course) but are stocked with accurate tracks and PE and such.

For instance DML's versions of the M4A3 and Jagdpanzer IV are light years ahead in terms of accuracy.  AFV Club, Tamiya andItaleri/Testors each have a Sturmtige -- and are accurate in that order too.  The JS2 by Tamiya is a gem.

While $20 may not seem too much, if you're a stickler for more of the modern bells and whistles, it may be better to shop around for a $25 DML Jagdpanzer IV or $28 AFV Club Sturmtiger that go on sale than jumping into the Testors boxings.  Just my two cents.

I was wondering if these were just re-issued older kits. Thanks Stik for letting me know.

The Sherman, Sturmtiger and Jadpanzer are all Italeri kits, that although a bit older are not bad at all. The Sherman was actually the basis for most of Dragons line of late model Shermans, better than Tamiya's, and still is not to be snubbed with a little TLC. The IS-2 is a former Zvezda kit that until the Tamiya kit came along easily held its own (except for tracks) against the Dragon Stalin. For $20 each you will not be getting ripped off.

Testor has their Four-Star Collection on sale for $19.99.

They have a JS-2 Stalin, M4A3 Sherman, StrumTiger and Jadgerpanzer IV.

 Are these any good?
