I was there two years ago and enjoyed it immensely! I can't wait to go back. I'll be taking 3 pieces for the contest table. Two armor subjects for the AMPS side and one submarine for the "ordinance" category on the figure side.
These are my subjects...
Wish me luck...

Wow K-Dawg, I'm not sure I saw that Pz II in the forums. Very, very nice.
Good luck and I see some medals in your future.

...break a leg! And don't let 'em see the seam in your barrel
Thanks y'all...
I can tell you that if they do find a seam anywhere, and i don't medal, then i didn't deserve it. I will try harder next time... Simple as that, no tears no complaining.

Uh...so...just for your sanity; you should probably overlook the entire barrel region of builds on the tables Manstein...
I really enjoyed that Serbian/Yugo build; fantastic job.

Thanks Beav, only two days away. My good friend Rusty Nail, a very talented figure painter is going with me. Should be a fun trip!

Goodluck at the show, three excellent models. I especially like the Pz.2, I think thaat it's presented in such a manner that gives it an atmosphere all of its own.
Terry.
enjoy ! and best of luck to ya K-DAWG !
tread ; )
I had a WONDERFUL time at AMPS this past weekend. I got to know a lot of people and see some old friends and look at great great models... what could be better than that!
As I said, I took 3 pieces with me and here are the results.Three Gold Medals and a Best of Theme Award for the Pz II... I was really surprised and overwhelmed at the awards, especially the Theme Award.
PS, Do not go to the Greek Restaurant next to the Marriott hotel if anyone attends next year.... Our waiter was a total jackwagon, literally throwing our tickets at us when we asked to have the bill split up... But, he did give himself an 18.5% gratuity on each one....
Congrats on all the awards.
Marc
Congrats on the well deserved Awards.
Regards, Rick
I told you man. Congrats on that gold!
congrats !

This is all first rate work, every bit of it.
Your rewards are very well deserved.
I especialy love this 'un.
Congradulations on your awards, they look like they were well justified to me . Isnt it nice when people like what you make. It perks up your day.
I done very well at my first show of the year too. See Fleet air arm show report.
Andy.
Congrats! Agree with others I really liked your little panzer. Any chance you have a picture of Manny? I just want a proof that he isn't really a WWII general...

Congrats on the wins Kenneth! The Pz II is definitely my favorite out of the 3 and no surprise it won the theme prize.
I appreciate y'alls comments, I really do. I would love to be able to go to AMPS Nats in VA next month and try my hand there.
I did not see or hear anything from Manny at the show... anyway, let him get his own thread!
Congratulations on the well deserved hardware K-dawg! They all look great!
