                        Gentlemen,

                        Could somebody please tell me what was the colour of water bottles and canteens of German soldiers in Africa?

                        Examples of the tropicalized water bottle show them to be the medium brown color, closely akin to the khaki of the typical bread bag.  Maybe a tad darker.
