Eric: Not the dreaded triple dog dare?!?! Seems I have little choice now...nobody survives the TDD!
Gip: Yup, it's prepainted, pre-assembled (you just have to snap on a few parts), and ready to drive. It's an RC tank that fires plastic BBs 25 meters with an airgun system. Pretty cool. I got one (and the M1A2) mainly because they are darned good models, too! The biggest inaccuracy is the fat gun tubes, though. Way overscale, but I like the way that looks!
KABOOOM!
Derek: Final drive is actually achieved via the track horns engaging holes in a drum within the sprocket, causing the "ridin' high" effect. It would take a complete reworking of the sprockets to solve the problem, which again, was something I wasn't prepared to do at the time.
The Abrams, by the way, doesn't have that problem (well, not as bad, anyway).
To the rest of you nice people, thanks for the kind words!
It's hard posting something you did years ago...hoping that you've improved since then!
