Tamiya Matilda 35300 cupola fit problem
Posted by Wilbur Wright on Friday, March 11, 2011 10:36 AM

I'm completing the build of this tank and the circular cupola (commanders hatch with two doors)  did not fit into the turret hole for it. I mean really did not fit..... I looked at the instructions though and through......unusual for a Tamiya engineered kit.....of which I've built well over 100 in the last 30 years.

I had to do serious work to get it to "Sit" the correct way.

Anyone else had this problem????? Otherwise fantastic kit.

Yep, same problem here. The joint line varied around it making it look real crappy. I made the mistake of using extra thin cement from the inside, holding it upside down and that caused cement to seep through, which sort of filled the wider parts of the joint, but I'm not very happy with it. Great kit otherwise.

(I'm a guy, despite the name)
