I recently had some unintentional success with Micro Set. Have you tried an ammonia-based cleaner, like Windex?

Windex doesnt seam to harm it. I tried it on some jars i had laying around. Micro Set is essentially white vinegar. hmmm.

Denatured (ethyl) alcohol will rip it clean off.. It won't harm the plastic either.

My wife uses Pollyscale  ELO (Easy Lift Off) paint remover or Windex to remove Vallejo paints from purchased painted 25mm mini's or ones she is not happy with finish wise.

what is the base of Vallejo paints? I've been using the Purple Pond for paint stripping with no problems to the styrene plastics

The Purple Power stuff is beginning to work after almost 24 hours of soaking. It is even removing the primer coat of Tamiya Spray paints. However, both paints (and some small fittings....) are only coming off after some very serious scrubbing with a toothbrush

My suggestion would be Goo Gone - available in small bottles anywhere for about $2. Very good at handling stains of any kind but strips paint very nicely and does no damage to the plastic. Just brush it on and wait for a few minutes and use a q-tip, paper towel and a tooth pick. Works good every time I've tried it.

Acrylics, even sealed, don't stand a chance with Dawn Power Dissolver and a Ziplock Storage bag. I've used it on resin and cellulose acetate plastic safely. Big Smile

I used 91% isopropyl alcohol on a resin print and it stripped Vallejo Model Color acrylic after about 5 min, without harm to the resin. It even stripped most of the Tamiya aerosol primer coat. *I know this is an old post, but I got here seeking the same info and it was a little unclear.
