I personally like to glue them to the wheels so the tracks and wheels are all one piece.  This way everything fits, i dont need to wrestle with them to get them on again (which can possibly lead to breaking things) and they are form-fitted, or "trained" to the suspension contours for a better look.

The 'Correct' answer.....

It Depends on the model! Surprise

some swear by individual track links, some swear at them!

I tend to spray hull, running gear & tracks & finish as much as possible while you can get to everything, then 'wrap' the suspension in aluminium foil whils you add the upper hull. works for me for most Taniya builds anyway.

IMHO.... test fit now and wait as long as possible to put the tracks on.  Depending on the vehicle I also wait as long as possible to put the road wheels on also.

hello all I am finally at the point of having to install the tracks and move on my question is do I or don't I install the tracks now and have to finalge with the model during paint or leave them until last. what is the pros and cons of installing them now. versus later please help

C

Installing now

Pros - Yay they fit and you don't have to fight with installing them later!

Cons - Boo, weathering just became that much more of a PITA

Installing later

Pros - Easier weathering

Cons - PITA track install

Depending on what you're building, there may also be a benefit to leaving the upper and lower hull separate until track install. I'm building an Achilles right now, and track install is literally impossible with the upper hull in place.

Assuming you're using the tracks that come with the Tasca? Be sure to test fit before you get too far along, if nothing else. I've had two AFV Club tracks come up severely short, even though the Achilles I'm building in an AFV Club kit!
