New 1/35 Hobbyboss wheeld releases
Posted by stikpusher on Thursday, March 31, 2011 12:02 PM

After decades of being the only 1/35 game in town, the old Peerless/Testors/Italeri/Zvezda M3 Scout car has a new tooled replacement from Hobbyboss...

And they also have a new current style Landrover Wolf to sit alongside your Tamiya Pink Panther and Italeri Landrovers in 1.35...

Hobbyboss is closely related to Trumpeter, sort of an alter ego with a different importer. They have done some really nice1/35 armor such as the Lepoard IIs, M4 High Speed Gun Tractors, LVTP-7 Amtracs, and Cadillac Commando armored car series. Fit and detail are good. I have not heard anything bad about them from those who have built their kits. One guy who I respect highly as a modeler for his builds raved about the Commando armored car how much he enjoyed it.

I want M3!  My stash could use few more allied vehicles to make my youngest son.  He was very concerned that I was building only Germans...

As a fan of military wheeled vehicles, this is a most welcome news. I have very good build experience with Hobby Boss models and I'm sure these two will be a good build again. Thanks for the news

Lucky Models usually has HB kits for dirt cheap (half of what state-side online stores charge). I have a few; never paid more than 20-24$ for each one, including some nice 1:48 jets.

SprueBrothers has a few on their "superspecials" section, a place worth perusing every day :)
