Hobby Boss Sdkfz 223

Well I picked up this kit yesterday for €27, and I must say it is a beautiful kit, lovely chassis work, engine, interior beautifully presented kit, I was blown away by the level of detail. Like for instance the front mud guards have the option of open  or closed bins with lovely etch lids. The interior is stunning, etch brackets for the grenades firewall has etch screen the whole thing is brilliant.

Now it being the 223 with a big frame ariel I was just thinking how could a company actually produce a kit like this and with brilliant attention to detail and completely miss the radio set, yes you are reading this right they omitted the entire radio set.

Yep I'm confused but laughing.

Terry.

Yes agreed Hobby Boss is setting the bar high.

I am sure you can source a AM radio set for your 223.

Annoying as this small omission may be the competition is tight in the plastic model industry, sooner or later I predict one of the 'Big 6' manufactures will be squeezed out of business. Right now is a great time to be building scale models and one can only hope the amount of manufactures remains the same. Yet its errors like this that mars reputations & sales.

With money tight most will buy a different kit vrs. sourcing a AM radio set that adds to the cost of the basic kit which should have included the radio in the first place!

The Hobby Boss kit is gorgeous packed with a ton of details, but like you said without the radio, the most important piece of equipment. I did the Tamiya one and scratched built the entire fighting comparment, including the radio set.
