Spare Pz. Kpfw. IV tracks... Anyone?
Posted by Zero Enna on Thursday, April 21, 2011 12:51 AM

I have an Italeri Pz. Kpfw. IV ausf F2(G), but I ruined the vinyl tracks so I need a replacement. Academy tracks are nice and cheap, but they depict a late type of track, I think AFV Club has a set, but I can't afford aftermarket tracks for now. I need to now if anyone out there has spare Pz. IV tracks, maybe unused Magic Tracks from a Dragon kit.,  I really need tracks for the tank. Thanks a lot in advance. Best regards.

Thanks for your reply, but I'm afraid they won't fit Italeri's drive sprocket as this part depicts a sprocket for 40 cm tracks (F1/F2/G version) and Pz. IV E used 36 cm tracks, they're a little bit narrower. Pz. IV E's sprocket looks the same but it is "flat" compared to ausf . F's if you look carefully. Thanks again. Best regards.

I've got a Dragon IV Ausf. G that I'm planning to use Friuls on. Tracks are the 40cm, open guide horn variety. PM me if interested.

Hi chaps,

I'm pleased this got sorted out Yes

I wish Dragon would start selling their DS Tracks and Magic Tracks as separate AM parts - they'd sell so well and I know I'd definately use the Magic Tracks as opposed to expensive Friuls all of the time!

Come on Dragon - sell us tracks! Super Angry

Yes. This. I've honestly thought of calling in to order replacements for a few sets I have just to have spares for future projects.

Like my Firefly Vc.

Dragon's Firefly Ic Hybrid has some very well done DS tracks, but the orange box Vc has these styrene nightmares. They aren't even Magic Tracks, just on-the-tree styrene track plates with separate, individual track connectors. Look like a complete nightmare to build, and I can't see how they'd be workable whatsoever.
