Dragon 1/72 Sd. kfz. 251/1 Ausf. C 'LAH' Kharkov '43

Very nice build. I've just started building in this scale, and I'm amazed how tiny these kits are! Yours came out great!

Nice, but looks like a D model with the simplified rear door...

Sweet build, really nice worn whitewash look!   Those little Dragon kits are awesome, the only thing I think they could do better is maybe include LnL tracks instead of the vinyl. 

Its just screaming for a base with some snow and bundled up figures.

Definitely an Ausf D (side bins and the rear door are the give-aways) and not a C, but regardless very nice work on the whitewash scheme in this scale.

Someone's wrong. Surely not the first time Dragon's screwed up. Regardless I'm sure there was a 251/1 D somewhere with a whitewash on it, LAH or otherwise.

Nice work on it Will. And I agree with you I think German whitewashes over gray look better faded like this- not chiped like you'd see on an African panzer in yellow/gray.

Guess I'll take the word of the commander of Army Group South. There's a cool picture of your buddy Fritz Witt in Kharkov walking right up Sumskaya street alongside a 251/1 C.

Perhaps Dragon mixed up their Ausf.s like Will.

The kit went together very nicely, not too many fit issues. There is a slight gap between the bins and the top half of the vehicle, but I believe that's it.

Added a little "wet" mud to the mix. NOW I'm done. 

probably make a little base/figure later.
