Dragon's Hummel: How many links per track?
Posted by castelnuovo on Thursday, April 28, 2011 9:59 AM

Gentlmen,

It is time to put the tracks on my Hummel. But the instructions don't say how many links per side? Could somebody please tell me how many links to put so that the tracks have a bit of a sag between return rollers?

Thanks...

I don't mean to sound flip, but the answer is "as many as it takes". You will need around 105-110 depending on the degree of sag you want to introduce (the Hummel chassis was longer than the standard Pz IV which took about 99 links per side depending) and how you have the idler and bogeys positioned.
