Quick question: I noticed in many (but by no means all) of the action shots of panzer I's and Opel maultiers that the track direction is with the grousers lagging but on the panzer II and up the track direction is always with the grousers leading. Did the Germans just happen to realize later on that the tracks worked better with the grousers leading? Just askin'.
Pat.
Hey dupes!
I used Modelkastin track on mine.

PANZERJAGER
Maultier needs less tracks than Pz I.
You need two sprues with tracks from MB for each vehicle.
About availability- in my opinion tracks were more popular than vehicles (due to their poor quality, for example), so tracks are sold out but kits still in stock.

Interesting. I've got that kit in the stash! I'll have to count out the number of links in the Maultier, see if there's enough to cover it.
Odd that 3504 is still in production (or just leftovers?) while 3505 (the tracks) seem to have vanished.
Finding the tracks separate may be a challenge, but for $15 you can get a whole kit that has them available from DragonModelsUSA: http://www.dragonusaonline.com/item_detail.aspx?ItemCode=MAS3504
Not sure if they enough links for the Maultier, but would be worth a shot if you can't find the tracks available as a stand-alone item.
BP Models
Are those Masterbox tracks OOP? Not seeing them in stock at any of my "usual" U.S. sources.
Thank you sir. I thought they might have been by Bronco or AFV Club, who seems to be releasing many track subjects these days.

Eric, the first ones that came to my mind were the MasterBox ones. They're a great product, and can be found on eBay for reasonable prices, given patience
A few years ago when I was intending to build a Maultier, I came across them.
Well look at that. You learn something every day!
Zokissima - wasn't actually going to get those (I think they're OOP anyway?), they were just the first ones that I had seen that indicated that Maultier/Pz.I were compatible.
KFS - great build! That's exactly how I want mine to turn out!
I'm going to look into the Masterbox tracks...also wondering if I have some spare Magic Tracks (or Tristar's, for that matter) kicking around.
Kamil, well done job.
They are the right ones dupes. I went for fruils for mine and it says Maultier on the box.

There also a rather nice resin AM set from Royal Models, its a bit pricey, more than the kit. Bit it is rather nice.
I am a Norfolk man and i glory in being so
On the bench: Airfix 1/72nd Harrier GR.3/Fujimi 1/72nd Ju 87D-3
tracks from MasterBox are quite good, in my opinion
zokissima They are indeed compatible, but to be honest, there are cheaper track sets available for the Maultier if you're just looking for a nice upgrade to the crappy Italeri vinyls.

Yes, what are they?
Was perusing the available accessories for my Italeri Maultier w/Panzerwerfer kit (#277), and came across these resin track from Accurate Armor -

I've always seen Maultier-applicable products packaged differently than Panzer I stuff - are they indeed compatible with one another?
Thanks guys!
