I guess you should look at what Chris Meddings has been doing. His armor interiors look very good. Not as many yet but the quality is what you might be hankering for. It is the kind that a modeller would scratchbuilt for. His Matilda interior looks very good.

I'm new to all of this, but I've had good luck with Neoguard and Legend sets.  The Verlinden stuff I've bought borders on junk.

Agreed, Roy. I guess I was just wondering why other companies like CMK, TWS and Jaguar don't come out with more interiors more often?

To answer my own question I would have to think it is something related to supply and demand.

I've seen alot of new CMK interiours come out lately, but i haven't built any yet but have recently bought a couple. I would agree that Verlinden ain't the best, at least the old ones. I am sure if you look beyond E-bay, you will see alot more choice.

I agree that many of Verlinden's interiors are suspect, when they first came out, all modelers of the time were concerned with was having some tank-like interior visible through the half inch hole that was partially blocked by a half or 3/4 figure that the kit came with anyway. "Creative Gizmology" was a term that was often used when guys added some styrene bits and pieces from the parts box and painted everything white inside the turret.

Verlinden captured the market and gave a pretty good representation of what you would see if you peeked inside a turret hatch that was partially obscured by a figure. Not always accurate, but often the main bits were there.

Eventually, modelers took it to the next level and wanted accuracy in what was portrayed inside the turret and hull, even though most of it will be invisible after construction. New resin companies started making accurate interiors and Verlinden's stuff became excess to many advanced modelers.

                                All of the interiors I woud dare say are rudimentary at best.Verlinden,from my past experience leaves alot o be desired.CMK is a good one as are jaguar and TWS. But none seem to be a 100%hit as far as accuracy and detail. Research is your only allie there. And scratch building.Just check out the great work by Scratchmod and others here on the forum.

They are in such supply because everyone is trying to get rid of 'em...they were one of the first companies to mainstream resin tank interior sets but most of their offerings are now 20-30 years old...some of them are good still, but they have pretty much fragmented as a company and have not released much new stuff...having said that, it seems that NO company makes resin sets that are easy to get into their intended host...be prepared for much dremeling, sanding, filling and blood...

Verlinden has been around a very long time -- although their recent releases aren't bad, I'd say their older interiors leave something to be desired.  the best interiors are by CMK.  Just because VP has a presence by ebay sellers doesn't mean a thing.
