There are numerous books that cover Tiger unit histories with tons of pictures.

Das Reich Tigers, by Wolfgnag Schneider

Panzer-Abteilung 503, by JJ Fedorowicz Publishing

TIger 1942-1943 vol 1  Technical & Operational History,  by Trojca

Tigers at the Front, by Jentz

All these contain pictures of early Tiger I's, with unit histories.

That would be problematic. The popular unit histories don't tend to mention the ID numbers of any Tigers.

Tiger photos have been sorted by vehicle, here:  http://www.tiif.de/

but we usually don't know what happened to the tanks, other than what is obvious from the photos.

Would someone, please, post links to good pictures of early tiger Is?  Photos of specific tanks w/known histories will be most appreciated!
