I think shooting a belt of 7.62 from a MG 42 would be funner than a ride on the bike...

Always wanted to convert a model WWII Harley Davidson to a post war machine, just like they did in the 50's & 60's.

...So many great modeling ideas, so little time & lack of a dedicated work bench!

Very realistic weathering, with the right angle and background the bike could pass as a real 1/1 scale version.

The age of the kit nor lack of detail in said kit shows, a testament to true modeling skills!

I built that kit in 1973 under the Esci label and still have it. I plan to eventually redo it and add more details. I also have two of the Esci figures unbuilt in their boxes. That is a very cool looking display incorporating both items.

 I still have the kit "off the shelf" so to speak,,,,  adding some dust / dirt around the tires and rims is a quick fix,,,,      I might just take you up on the advice, thanks again.

I've seen that kit many times and you have done a very good job in showing it in a well used, but still relatively effective good shape.

Given the environment, the lack of dust on the tires near the edge of the rims seems to be the only detail amiss.  picky, picky, picky.........

Nonetheless, a perfect display of your abilities and a good insight as to what we can expect in the future.

I actually wasn't going to include the figure. I purchased it [the fig] way back when I bought the bike / side car. The idea was to incorporate the figure accessoried into the bike scene. Among other things,,  I RTV'd the canteen and produced an extra half dozen or so to strew about the scene.

After completing the bike I figured what the heck and built the figure,,,,  sort of an afterthought to be honest.

Nice work on this one, like the look you've achieved with it especially the details on the gear.
