1:48 turned barrels
Posted by Scorpiomikey on Wednesday, June 8, 2011 7:33 PM

Hey guys, im looking for a 48 scale turned barrel for a tiger 1 early. Specifically for the tamiya kit (with the little step in the end) Wheres the best place to go? Everywhere ive searched is saying OOP.

Worst case scenario i go to the boys in the shop and ask them to make one for me, but it probably wont be very accurate.

Also how in hell do you guys deal with all those damn wheels? im going insane.

Hadn't heard about recent after-shocks.  Hang in there.  Looking forward to some photos of your masterworks.

Cheers from Texas. Toast

There are several made for the Tamiya early Tiger I. I have the LionRoar PE set #LA480001 which includes a barrel. If I find a link for the set, I will post it.

I know Armorscale does a barrel too: http://www.armorscale.com/products/barrels48/B48-001/

Here is a link to the RB Model website, they do a Tiger barrel too: http://www.rbmodel.com/index.php?action=products&cat=c_bm&sub=48B

I'm pretty sure Aber does a Tiger I barrel. They do several others I know about and the Tiger I is the most popular 1/48 scale kit.

Track48 is a site dedicated to 1/48 scale armor modeling. They have a shop and you can browse through their catalog to see what else you may need. Happy hunting! http://www.track48.com/shop/manufacturers.php
