Jagdpanthers---as did most late-war German tanks---did not have antennaes that could be lowered or raised on a pivot like earlier tanks, such as the Mk III, did...they were detachable and sat on a "pindle-type mount" when deployed...so if you leave it off actually there will be no hole but a "pindle" that extends up from the mount where the hollow base of the antennae would slide over and sit...
malone dukeOk cool thanks. So ill prob just leave it as is. Now I can get to the tow cables. Got any tips on painting tow cables, maybe I should start another post.
I wouldn't start another post - just edit your original post title to 'Antennae and Tow Cable advice needed', that's how it will then show up on the main board.
I've built all my models with decent antennae BUT as my build pile grows I need to add more glass shelves to the cabinet so I'm going to have to start losing antennae soon The Allied builds are ok as they have whippy antennae but obviously the German antennae are (supposed to be) hollow carbon rods!
As for the cables - paint them as required and very lightly weather. Don't go heavy on the rust as the tow cables would have been very well looked after as they were basically a real lifesave and a rusty cable is bad news. I'm sure the more experienced guys will be able to help.

What I do with tow cables, allied or axis is to paint the hooks the body color, the cables I paint them black and dry brushed with metallic grey and over it, very light silver.
