Okay - You've probably heard this already but, Great job.
Any chance of hearing how you did the mud etc.?
Brits didn't have much luck with bright red when they lined up.
Thanks again guys, I appreciate all the comments. I can't post any more pix at the moment, but look for more about this model later in the year. Red numbers would look cool, but I don't think they do much for camouflage. Bright red is good for catching a cute girl's attention at the coffee shop, not so good if you don't want to be seen.
Cheers, Aaron

It looks great! I really like your winter camo weathering. I agree, it looks heavy metal. The only thing I would have done, is make the tank numbers red. I don't know if that would be "accurate" but it add the perfect amount of pop to a very good build. Hate to sound corny but that red numbering would be like that perfect hanky in your best suit pocket or the perfect wrist corsage for your prom date. I am saying all this because its a really good build. Going to copy you camo weathering.
An excellent build! The weathering is great, a really outstanding piece.

Great job Aaron, can you post more images?
Guys,
Thanks to everyone for the nice comments. It was a fun build, especially the painting and weathering. I was concerned that the mud might be overdone but I was really happy with how it turned out.
Kenneth: Maybe you're right. Still just not a fan of the vehicle; give me an IS-2 or a T-34 and I'm a happy camper.
Boarder: It is kit No. 6600. It goes together pretty well (although I don't dig itsy-bitsy photoetched-metal tool clasps).
Thanks again guys.
Very nice Mr. Skinner, VERY nice! Love the mud!

Aaron that is beautiful. I'm jealous.

Aaron,I guess this is DML #6600?Anyway this is turret # 100 of S.Pz.Abt. 502.You nailed it - not that I have seen any but blurry pictures of #100 out of Russian display, but this is very convincing and 100% in line with DML's and the research team suggestions for the first batch of Tiger I arriving at the front in 1942.I look forward to additional posts :)As alwaysBoarder
the horseshoe rocks.. ! I had a photo etch detail set from someone that had 2 in it..

Theres also kit 6252 which is the same tank without the white wash. Not sure if they are exactly the same kit, as 6252 is an slightly older release. And not sure if the Horse shoe is included.
I am a Norfolk man and i glory in being so

Sure looks sweet! I like the exhausts too.
Apprentice rivet counter.
It's kit 6600 from Dragon.

It's probably cliche to say this at this point, but the mud is outstanding, and the wheels really look the part. I'm sorry if this is a repeat question, but what's the serial number for this kit? I want to build a Tiger, and I'm open to any and all suggestions for the best kit.
Well done Aaron!... It may be the first but it won't be the last.... :)
I very much like the mud and crud built up on the back there!

Rockford;
Forensics says the fingerprints on the shovel, axe, and mallet don't match the perps. Otherwise, a great build.

After the Russians captured this tank in 18-1-43, they scrubbed it down and displayed it in Gorky Park.

Cool Aaron.. I like the horseshoe.. I have a couple on my MK IV's...
Aaron,
Yet another 'well done.' Definitely looks great.......I'm looking forward to the extended review of your build. I have this kit also, so your comments will certainly be helpful.
Will do Aaron .
Wow, thanks for all the nice remarks. I don't want to spoil too much of what's to come, but I can tell you the whitewash weathering is the much-vaunted hairspray technique and the mud is Mig pigments with plaster and acrylic gel medium.
And yes p38j, that is a horseshoe on the front. Apparently this vehicle wore one and Dragon is kind enough to give it to you in the kit. This Tiger was apparently captured by the Soviets around Leningrad in late '42 or early '43.
PS
Shell, I have been a little busy. Check out the kit and book previews on our homepage under the FSM Insider tab.
william carls Hi Aaron I guess I will have to be the first to complain....sure wish you would've put up a few more pics... : ) bill

Very nice build Aaron,,, all-round, a well done Tiger. I have one (or two) of these in my stash to be built... perhaps incentive for me to dig one out.
Mostly,, thanks for sharing!
Enjoy the ride!
Weathering on this is excellent.
