Need help Dragon Elefant w/ Zimmerit
Posted by M1 A1 A2 Tanker on Wednesday, June 15, 2011 5:15 PM

Hi
   All

I'm building the Dragon 1/35 Elefant with Zimmerit for the Panzerhager GB. And am having a problem. While attaching parts M2, M9 and M3 there seems to be a noticeable step at the top and bottom.

Is this correct? Possibly an effect of adding Zimmerit?

Believe me I have poured over images on the net and still cannot figure this out.

Here are some pics:

Thanks

Scott

Oh , now i get it , the picture is upside down .

Those steps are normal (but maybe overdone on this model ) and due to the thick armor plates .............like in this picture .Add on armor of 100 mm was bolted to the front .

OK. Stupid question. So is it right? Even with the step?

BTW, thanks for answering so quick Shellback.

Not stupid to me .Here's another couple of pictures .

To me the step (gap) is overly large . There a gap there on the tank but it doesnt look as larg and deep as on your model . too me the seam below the upper added on plate and the lower plate looks filled in even . the gap between the the bottom hull plate and the the lower front plate looks too deep and wide .
