For those of you interested, and those who participated, I updated the wrap-up on page 1 to include Tony's recently finished (and quite impressive) Marder II.

Nice wrap-up Boyd.  It was a lot of fun too.  Although I need to slow down a bit to have some "fun" a bit longer.  And as with any GB, full blown or mini, learned a lot about the subject matter.

And thanks for the compliments on my "M".

Hinsky

I couldn't agree more. Wing_nut's Marder is SICK! Those who haven't should go back and read his build log. It is freakin' incredible. The other finished pics are worth the visit, too!

Hey guys,

It's nice to be able to see the final works all laid out (minus Tony's at the minute mind you - no doubt they'll be stunners) Yes

All of these build are just amazing and each one, in it's own way, has it's own magic.

I can't say "I like his best and his the least" as that's nigh on impossible - they are all excellent and take my breath away!

I would like to say that my two (personal) favourites are Andy's Marder II and wing_nut's Marder III M.

I'm not mentioning Andy's build just because he's a very good friend but I did follow it closely and I feel his Marder II took him to a new level of modelling - imo it's worthy of a feature in FSM!

Wing_nut's Marder III is just plain spectacular. I love his whitewash and the build is just flawless. I've still got the Befehlsjager version of this same model half built upstairs but it's killing me at the minute. I'm finding it to be a very tricky build and it has caused me nightmares so I've set it aside for a while to attack refreshed after the Panzer III GB. Obviously I know how hard I found this model to build but he made it look like a breeze. I'm hoping it's down to his high skill level and my lack of it!

I now wait with baited breath to see what Tony has to offer! Wink Maybe my favourites will change again!

Like I say they are all excellent but the two I mentioned stood out for me for my own reasons - well done on some great builds and a great thread!

Pvt Mutt

Sorry for holding up the show.

Tony

No need to apologize. Finish 'em when you finish 'em. Your space is reserved in the line-up!

Have a good one! Big Smile

Boyd- Thanks for doing this.  We had too much fun!  Hope we can do it again one day...

Tony- No worries... take your time!  Maybe this is a perfect excuse for you to throw a big "airbrushing" party and we all fly in and paint all of your builds while we drink Beer or Drinks.  I'd love to play with your puppy too!

Sorry guys but I guess I went into overload and just got up from the bench and haven't been back in there.

I do this for enjoyment and it began to be work trying to keep up with all the projects I had going.

I feel like it's about time I give it another go and see if the juices are ready to flow again.

Sorry for holding up the show.

Hey Boyd, I like what you've done with this wrap-up thread. It's good to see all of the various Marders in one place. When Tony finishes his, it will look awesome! Nate

Marder Madness Wrapup
Posted by bbrowniii on Wednesday, June 15, 2011 6:59 PM

Hi everyone

After posting my finished Marder III H, I've enjoyed going back into Marder Madness to look at everyone's builds. It got me thinking that the build really needed a wrap-up. So, here they are, the completed builds for Marder Madness:

MARDER 1 (HOTCHKISS CHASSIS) - by Pvt Mutt

Still in progress. Reserved for completed build

MARDER 1 (LORRAINE CHASSIS) - by Nachtflieger

MARDER II - by deafpanzer

MARDER II D - by Pvt Mutt

MARDER III PAK 36(R) AUSF GW 38(T) - by Panzerwaffe

MARDER III H - by bbrowniii

MARDER III M - by wing_nut

ENJOY!!!
