Yes, I mean to look on the side of a rural road, farm field type area see what that looks like and replicate it. It's the base, no real wrong way to paint it.

it doesn't  have a  side of a road view  the only picture of it is on the box cover

you misunderstood ..............take a look at the side of any road around you for inspiration . If its the kit Rob is talking about , i built that , As i remember there are deep tracks where the gun was rolled into position .Leading me to think of a muddy soil condition so i painted the plastic base in a varying earth tone and painted the tires in that tone of earth also .

That's the base with the wood rail fencing and probably some grass or farmer's field. You should just look at the side of the road for inspiration.

I have a  question for those who build armor, I  won a  1/35 scale Italeri/testors M1 anti-tank gun at a model contest and I wish to model it,  Im going with a US army color scheme but I don't have any information on what to paint the base that  is sits on, the instructions are very unclear on that part of the kit, plus this will be my first armor kit build so I would appreciate any information anyone can offer for me-thank you
