I've used heat (weld) and sewn as well. Personally I would not be too trustworthy of glueing vinly.

Best of luck with it AG

Enjoy the ride!

You don't 'glue' vinyl tracks to begin with.

Actually you do on the latest one piece vinyl type tracks from Tamiya, AFV Club, and Dragon. But I would highly recommend replacing them- at least for Tamiya and AFV Club. On many kits I have used that type of track, within a year or so of completion, the tracks break up after a year or so... very upsetting!!! Happened on my Cromwell, Centaur, YPR-765, M113 FSV... The plastic used is not durable.

U is for URANIUM... BOMBS!

N is for NO SURVIVORS...

I've had very good results using CA glue on AFV Club tracks, in fact the exact set you're using, as well as their T49 Sherman tracks.

You don't 'glue' vinyl tracks to begin with.

The standard technique is a heated screwdriver blade and you heat weld/meld them together.

The thread sewing notion is an option, but it's dependent on the specific nature of the tracks and having something to pass the thread through as well. My advice, heat weld. If you would prefer a non heat weld, you might consider stapling them together. At the least the staples will do till you sew them together, because trust me, sewing tracks in NEVER going to be your first best option.

And you got that from someone that is actually able to sew normally speaking.

You can sew them together. Pick a thread that isn't too obvious a color, I usually use plain old black, you're going to paint over it anyway. Get a small needle (it'll push through the vinyl easier) and sew the tracks on both sides of the center guide. It only takes a couple of loops on each side. Tie it off on the side that will show the least and put a drop of superglue on it. When the glue is dry cut the tag ends as close to the glue as you can. Paint and install with the stiches in a discreet spot on the suspension.

I can't seem to be able to glue the tracks that came with my AFV club M41 walker bulldog model. I don't want to have to buy after market tracks. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks AG
