Bish,,   I totally understand....   and again, feel free to lend me a hand whenever you can. I agree,, any constructive point should be well taken (for me,,,,   it is).

Taken in that context I appreciate it and consider you a friend (hobby-ish and otherwise).

Moreover, I hope you enjoyed my elaborated explaination.....  I got a chuckle out of it to be honest.

I got into modelling after i got into studying military history, the 3rd Reich especially. So for me modelling is an extension of my main interest (ok, my only real interest). So i still try and do as much research as possible on every build. But at the end of the day, as long as the builder is happy, thats all that counts. I think its just helpful to point things out, and then the builder can decide how to go from there.

And its still a great build Bill. Hope we are going to see some more soon.

There was a time when I researched just about every nut and bolt of every build I produced. And,,,,   I did enjoy that aspect of modeling,,  very much. I still do,,, to an extent. These days I may unintentionally miss something here or there in accuracy, but I still try to make the build pleasing to the eye (so to speak).

So, with this said,,,     (making this up as I go along here my friend).... eh,hemm,,, the truck was one that never received the updated paint job,,  it was in for repairs and they rushed it out without painting...  one of the supply gents asked,, "do you want the old MG 34 or the 42"?..  he yelled back "42",, but the supply gent thought he sneezed - - "achuuuu"...  he shrugged it off and gave him the 34 and tossed in (gently) the Panzerfaust 60.

Bill, i wasn't sure if i should mention it before as i didn't know how much you worried about historical accuracy, and after a couple of discussions on other peoples threads i have become a bit more cautious about saying something. But seeing as you are, i might as well. That panzerfaust looks out of place to me. Its a Panzerfaust 60 which was produced from Sept 44. But you ahve it in a truck in a pre 43 Panzer grey, and with an MG 34 rather than a MG 42. To me it just looks out of place.

Hope you don't mind me brining it up, and if you wanted to leave it there for the effect, its your model your choice. Just thought i would let you knwo, assuming you didn't already.

Jafa,,,   the crew is loading up some supplies,, that is the reason for the haphazard placement. Before they are ready to move, all the loose equipment will be properly stored.

(heck, I will spin the story to some sort of logical outcome.....   all things are possible, right?)

Nice work on the simple base and display, still a lot of little details here and there to draw attention and add visual interest.

great work and far better than anything I can do yet, I will copy your mud/dirt ideas for something a little later (and god knows we have enough mud outside right now). The only question I have though is the amount of loose weaponry in the back, would they really drive around with loose grenades rolling around? and a Panzerfaust (sp?) leaning against the tail gate?

Seems a lil careless to me... Just my thoughts though.

Outstanding work on the Krupp especially the base.  I agree with others about the hanging jacket. 

thanks, Historex doesn't have them, but might be able to find them some where. I have been thinking about getting the Archer transfer uniform sets but they are a bit pricey, so haven't decided yet. Will try E-bay for the Verlinden set. Thanks again.

Thanks bill. I want to do mine as Army jackets so don't want the cuff titles on them. Didn't relise Verlinden did uniform decals though, going to have to look for them.

You are indeed correct...  The cuff title is a Verlinden decal

fair point. Did those cuffs titles comes on the jackets or did you add them. I think these are from a set i plan on useing, though i think Verlinden have a couple of German uniform sets, so could be a different one.

I guess for a coat,,  any hook on any truck is home......  ha!

I did think it might be an SS pattern as the armys was totally different. I was just confused as its on an Army truck. But i am easily confused. I have not seen that pattern before, i need to get get some more of those Men at Arms books, only got a couple so far.

Much obliged Bish......    yes, the windscreen / dust was masked....  flat overspray. I picked up the camo scheme from a "Men at Arms" series...  It's supposedly a Waffen SS pattern.

Lovely build Bill. I love the weathering, and the dust on the windscreen looks great. Is that sprayed on useing a mask for the area cleaned by the wipers.

I do love the jacket, nioce touch. But what camo scheme is that in.

Excellent work! Always a mark of skill to be able to make something all-gray look so visually interesting. Groundwork is also superb, simple (appearing) but effective.

The jackets and boots came from the Verlinden "German Clothing WWII" set (# 1396). It's a little older but  still listed on the site.

Definitely nice build! I am curious about the jackets myself, how did you do them, or where did you get them at least?

Excellent build and presentation Bill! I've always liked this kit, having built one myself many years ago. I love your base/groundwork too. It don't take all that much to put a model in 'its place' and you've done that here very nicely!

Weathering is very nice although a little more dusting on the upper surfaces would work a little better IMMHO. Screw it... I like it as it is!

Yes, a figure would've been nice but you have added other things to give a good sense of scale to this. Where'd you get the uniform jackets?
